In 1995 Waste Management and the Southwest I.S.D. entered into an agreement under which revenues at Covel Gardens are shared with the school district. Commonly known as a “host fee agreement”, it contains specific stipulations regarding how and when shared revenue payments are made to South I.S.D. and provisions for no-cost waste collection at some school campuses. The agreement is just another way that Waste Management contributes to the support of education and the community near Covel Gardens. Waste Management is committed to the agreement for as long as Covel Gardens is operational.

At the time the agreement was executed in 1995, Waste Management also made a one-time lump sum donation of $50,000 to Southwest I.S.D. for improvements to the district’s sports complex located on the Southwest High School campus.
