Site Plan

With the largest network of landfills in the industry, Waste Management utilizes state-of-the-art engineering, construction and monitoring methods to help protect the environment and ensure the safe, responsible disposal of waste.

Consisting of 783 acres in total, Covel Gardens has 480 acres available for waste disposal. The remaining 303 acres are used for recreation facilities, support buildings and roadways and perimeter buffer zones. The permitted site is fenced for security purposes.


Site Development Sequence

Covel Gardens is permitted to be developed in phases. Each phase represents an individual disposal cell. There are fifteen (15) phases as shown on the graphic image at the right. To date development has occurred in Phases I through VII.
